Disrespectful victims need healthy relationships with adults

"Boys will be boys" and "Girls make it easy" we hear from so many people. As a child, I remember being upset and no one helped me or told me what I had to do. And you know. So it hurts me like a kid today. As a school counselor, I developed and tested various techniques for 10 years to help students overcome bullying. These programs will also help bullies!
One of the most effective programs I developed was a mentoring program. This is a school program with professional staff as mentors for students during the school day. Mentors are teachers, administrators and consultants. This program is only carried out in schools and mentors do not transport, visit or meet their mentors outside of school.
Parents take part in telephone calls, notes and conferences with mentors / employees. The effectiveness of this program is extraordinary. Students have the opportunity to maintain healthy relationships with professional adults who can help them regularly and support them in the fight against bullies, among others. Through the trust and skills that students gain from their relationships with their mentors, they develop skills to deal with bullying and pranking.
Bullies themselves are also part of the mentor / mentee program and work with employees to learn to respect other students. Through daily contact with mentors through checklists, short conversations etc., some mentors have significantly reduced the negative effects of bullies on other students. It also helps these "ex-bullies" focus on building their own self-esteem and enables them to become better students and people. The reduced number of job recommendations from intimidating students will also encourage your school administrator to support your new tutoring program and allow you to receive grants to improve your program.
